Retreat

We only lasted about 15 min, before my fingers felt like they were going to fall off or in Cecelia's words "I think my face is going to fall off". We had our cocoa in the comfort of my Honda Civic.

Braving the Cold

She really is a trooper... I think she'd rather be having that hot cocoa than being my photo subject. No smiles today.

Wasteland

It's so hard to believe that in about 6 Months this will be one of the most populated beaches in New England. No sun bathing for me today.

PHotographer's Shadow

Still on Crane Beach and still New Year's day.... I'm positive that these dunes are very Highly photographed but sometimes you can't help it... I really have to look into getting a good pair of gloves that I can still use my camera with.

New Year's Day at Crane Beach

I decided to go on a little photo excursion on New Year's. So I grabbed my camera, my daughter, and a thermos of hot cocoa and went down to Crane Beach. It was about 12° with a 40 mph wind coming off the ocean on top of that. It's hard to capture the numb face and frostbitten hands in a photo....

Graveyard Spigot

The water supply for the coolest cemetary I've ever seen. Ipswich, MA

Board-Walkers

Here's another "people try".

Sunset Dog

I've been trying to encorporate people in photos lately. I hope they don't mind....

Endless Sky

November on Crane Beach. This is actually one of my favorite times of the year to go there. The air is clear, no tourists, and the light is always good. You just have to get past the bitter cold part.

fun among the waves

Nice brisk November day at Crane Beach. Followed by a hot cup of cider and some doghnuts from Russel Orchards.

MY FIRST SHOW!!!!!!

Well the time has finally come that I'm able to pull myself from my busy schedule at my "day job" to show my stuff in person. If you're in the Ipswich area please feel free to stop by the Hall Haskell House (Ipswich visitor center) on Nov. 8th 6-8pm for the reception. Wine and hors d'Oeuvres will be on me. Or you can stop by earlier I'll be there all day.

Covered Bridge

You can't go to Vermont and not scope out the covered bridges. The country side is riddled with these marvelous examples of architecture.

Squirrel Point #2

Another view of the Squirrel Point Light.

Squirrel on the River

Squirrel Point Light on the Kennebec River, ME. It's also an amazing hike to get to this spot. And there's a reward of fresh blueberries for the picking and gorgeous view of the light.

Lighthouse with Blue Cranes

Doubling Point Lighthouse with the Bath Ironworks in the background. Shot from a cruise on the Kennebec River in Bath, ME

Sunshine on my Shoulders

I don't think the light could get any better than this.
Woodford State Park, VT.

Stuck in the Ice

Stepping outside of New England again for a weekend trip to Saugerties, NY. We stayed two nights at the Saugerties Lighthouse on the Hudson River. I highly recomend a visit or a weekend getaway at this wonderful peice of history. Good luck getting reservations!!!!

Wife on the Docks

Nothing like taking a picture of somebody taking a picture. That's my wife on the dock at Fort McClary in Kittery, ME.

Fire in the Sky (and on the beach)

4th of July on Crane Beach, Ipswich. My first time seeing the fireworks on the ocean. It was great because we could see the fireworks in every town up the coast, all the way to Portsmouth. I was less than impressed with the show here but the sunset was outstanding.
